Huge Interest & Strong Sales at 2009 Fair

There may be a global recession but the 2009 International Ceramics Fair & Seminar was greeted as enthusiastically as ever by the collectors and academics who frequent the fair every year.

Founded by Brian and Anna Haughton and now in its 28th year, the fair once again featured 15 exhibitors who offered a wide selection of the very finest British and Continental pottery, porcelain, glass and enamels. Running concurrently was the 12-part lecture programme, an annual forum for presenting and discussing the latest research and discoveries in the ceramics world and which was again attended by leading academics and collectors.

Record Attendance and Strong Sales at The Fine Art Fair

The 16th annual International Fine Art Fair proved that while the world's economy is in fragile shape, the art market remains remarkably resilient.

Attendance was significantly up and on a par with the fair's best in 2003. Increased attendance yielded twice the business and interest for the dealers on the floor, despite fewer exhibitors. Stellar new contacts were made and the world's top collectors visited the armory over its 5-day run.
